The Exorcist...with bunnies

The Exorcist is truly one of my favorite movies of all time. Even though I have seen the movie more times than I can remember, I still get chills watching it. I never would have thought that someone would reinact this movie with bunnies, but as things go on the internet, someone has and I could not be happier. I just about pissed myself when I saw this. 350 Z

In a move toward the impractical side of the spectrum, I just went out and purchased one of these: 2004 Nissan 350Z I am still a bit numb about the whole thing right now, but am giddy when I go outside and see it sitting there. Who knows, maybe I will just enjoy driving again.

Small victory

Ok, feeling like I rule right now. I was having a horrible time making the css sheet work for this site in both IE and Mozilla. I decided earlier this morning to fix the css so that it would make the layout all pritty for IE, meanwhile making it kinda suck for Mozilla. Well, seeing as I am a devout Mozilla (Firfox) believer, I decided there had to be a way to make the layout work for both. Once I got to thinking about it, I realized that it was as simple as putting in some browser check code and then stipulating a css sheet for each browser type specified in the if then statement. Here is what I have, should any of you run into this and want to do the same thing. I realize this is prolly written on the back of every startup bathroom stall door, but I am proud of it, nonetheless: I have made the necessary code changes (switched "<>" with "()" and vice versa) so that this will actually show up in the post. (script type='text/javascript' ) browser_version= parseInt(navigator.appVersion); browser_type = navigator.appName; if browser_type == "Netscape" { document.write<"(link REL='stylesheet' href='<$MTBlogURL$>styles-site2.css' TYPE='text/css')">; } else if browser_type == "Microsoft Internet Explorer" { document.write<"(link REL='stylesheet' href='<$MTBlogURL$>styles-site.css' TYPE='text/css')">; } else { document.write<"(link REL='stylesheet' href='<$MTBlogURL$>styles-site.css' TYPE='text/css')">; } // -->(/script) *does the butt wiggle*

Manhunt

Whilst enjoying my week off before I start my new job on Monday, I went out and bought Manhunt. So far, I am just really frustrated by it and how lethargic it is. But, it got good reviews, so I am going to give it a little while longer before I turn it into a microwave dinner. I gotta give props to Rockstar Games for creating such awesome games as GTA 3 and Vice City. However, they have also put out some duds, including State of Emergency. So, my hope is that the reviews are correct and this game does kick some ass. I will let you know when I surface in a couple of days.

I kissed a girl

I was watching some deal on VH1 last night about how gay is the new black. I totally agree and have heard that this "Metrosexual" thing is getting out of control. Now the straights have some semblance of fashion sense and it is, initially, throwing gay people off. Their straightdar needs some reconfiguration so that they can tell who is the pitcher, who is the catcher and who is masquerading as the ball boy. My best friend is gay and has all sorts of stories where his firends end up hitting on someone they think is gay, but turns out to just have really metro fashion sense, leaving them confused at best. Some of the people on the show even made comment to the effect that metrosexuality is going to dilute the idea of what gay really is in this world, somehow making gay for the straight people or making it some horrible marketing campaign for selling records. I personally don't think that will happen. Sure, the marketing idea is there, but straight will never be fully gay. I mean, it is trendy for girls to kiss other girls right now, but I don't see mainstream Amerika getting all ooey gooey over two guys kissing. Girls gone wild will not be replaced by Fraternity boys gone gay. Not really sure what my point was here...oh, yeah...I have the song , I kissed a girl, stuck in my head.

Things I believe

Beauty is everywhere, not just in the eye of the beholder. Organized religion is destroying our world/society. Krispy Kreme is the devil. Milton Berle didn't look half bad as a woman...eat your heart out Bugs Bunny.

The bad memories that keep me up at night

I found a couple of my journals buried deep in my desk drawer yesterday. They had been all but forgotten since my entry into the blogging world. Reason being, I found it easier to just type something up and click a button instead of writing it all down in a book where it would fester and build upon iteself until it could blast me with both barrels like it did yesterday. Here is something that I forgot that I had written sometime last year or the year before. Made me cry like a little baby. Years later now I find myself at your funeral A Catholic/Muslim clusterfuck of Tears and anger So many friends All of your family Your fiance, crying her broken heart Out over you We all cried that day Mike look so empty, So alone Staring at the freshly packed dirt that was Now your home for eternity You sucker punched us all with that shot I remember sitting in Starbucks with Dan, Jocylyn And some other Woostock's bloke We talked all afternoon about you About the way you broke inside our souls And made a home We talked about the shattered mess After you left I remember when it happened Late night I was closing The cops came in all in hushed tones with Jon "Maz has hurt himself" All he would say Days later, he told me that you never Even made it to the hospital Your fiance found you A gift of nightmares Ensconced in a blood-smeared room You shot us all that night We each died inside our hearts Our souls I will never forgive you for what you took from me.... you
